Receiving our National Flag
On Friday the 13th of November the Irish Army visited our school to give the students a talk about the 1916 Rising and the importance of respecting our Irish Flag. Seán from 6th Class read out the words from the 1916 Proclamation together with the visiting Sargent. Then we were presented with our National Flag which we have to take great care of. We finished the ceremony singing our National Anthem in very rousing fashion. It was a proud day for Donore NS. Have a look at the gallery below.

I think this is pretty cool. Well I’m from the U.S and I would like to know more about Ireland. Especially about popular foods there. If you would like to learn about popular foods in my country you can visit my class blog. http://www.flags8.org
We love to eat vegetables and our favourite vegetables are potatoes!
